Chinese New Year 2012
It's nearly that time of year again when our Lion Dance teams perform for Chinese associations and restaurants across the area. It's a lot to do over the New Year period, but it's great to be a part of the festivities!

Master Lau's UK Visit
In October 2011 we had the privilege of a visit by Master Gini Lau (my SiGung). During her stay she conducted a seminar on Eagle Claw Kung Fu. Many students from the Maidenhead club also went for dinner with Master Lau, where she was presented with a place in the 'Combat' magazine 'Martial Arts Hall Of Fame'. SiGung also Level-tested many students during her week in the UK, including myself.
Christmas Parties
Kids Bouncy Castle Party - Over 40 children (including brothers and sisters of students) as well as many of their parents came to Frogmore Leisure Centre for the recent Bouncy Castle Party. There were 4 bouncy castles including an inflatable slide. Everyone really enjoyed themselves (despite a few bumps along the way). The only thing I regret is not having a go myelf! I was too busy keeping an eye on the bottom of the slide, as it was becoming a bit of a pile-up.
Eagle Claw Test, 10 Pass
10 students recently passed their Gung Lek Kuen (1st) test and Teut Jeen (2nd) test at the European headquarters in Maidenhead. The tests were conducted by SiFu Julian Dale. I was particularly proud as four of the children (namely Josh, Matt, Cody and Brandon) are the first group from the kids classes to pass Teut Jeen and are now wearing orange Eagle Claw t-shirts. Well done everyone!

Inspirational Skills Fair ‘Motivating the Middle Years’ Princes Hall, Aldershot 30th June and 1st July
I am conducting eight 30-minute workshops each day at this two day event.
This time there will be children aged 10-12 years from various schools across the area.
Healthy Living Day
Healthy Living Day at Cove School Friday 24th June
I’m looking forward to teaching six 50-minute Eagle Claw Kung Fu lessons to 13 and 14 year olds throughout the day at Cove School as part of their Health Living Day.
I will be handing out class invitations to all the children.
Kung Fu Panda 2
Kung Fu Panda 2 - Cinema Outing Sun 12th June
25 of us went to Vue Cinema in Camberley to watch the second installment of Kung Fu Panda. It was actually really good – I think the adults liked it just as much as the kids! It was great to see everyone and have such a large group join us.

Raising money for the Early Births Fund (Neonatal Unit) at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals
We’ve smashed our target of £500 and raised a staggering £723 for The Early Births Fund which supports the Special Care Baby Unit at St. Peter's.
New Kids Class - Promotion and Public Performance
We promoted the new Kids class on Saturday 19th February at Hart Shopping Centre, Fleet.
A massive 31 of us took part in a 2 hour public demonstration.
